Experts from Compass Regional Hospice and the Hope & Healing Center will lead a discussion about letting important people in our lives know how we want to live until the final days of life.

 

Topics will include

  • the importance of making your wishes known to family, friends and physicians
  • obtaining support from health care providers
  • legal documentation of your wishes
  • the emotional impact of having these sensitive conversations
  • suggestions for how to begin and continue with these conversations
  • hospice philosophy
  • available resources and materials

Leading the discussion will be

  • Sharon Loving, LCSW-C, supervisor of support services and a social worker experienced in helping families have conversations about how they want to live and die with dignity
  • Lisa Adkins, MS, RN, CRNP, an Adult/Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and former hospice nurse, who specializes in caring for those 16 years and older, who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.
