“How do I want to live until I die?” - The conversation no one wants to have

Experts from Compass Regional Hospice and the Hope & Healing Center will lead a discussion about letting important people in our lives know how we want to live until the final days of life.
Topics will include
- the importance of making your wishes known to family, friends and physicians
- obtaining support from health care providers
- legal documentation of your wishes
- the emotional impact of having these sensitive conversations
- suggestions for how to begin and continue with these conversations
- hospice philosophy
- available resources and materials
Leading the discussion will be
- Sharon Loving, LCSW-C, supervisor of support services and a social worker experienced in helping families have conversations about how they want to live and die with dignity
- Lisa Adkins, MS, RN, CRNP, an Adult/Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and former hospice nurse, who specializes in caring for those 16 years and older, who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness.
