This hands-on program will focus on the art and history of Japanese braided cord, also known as kumihimo!  Kumihimo weaving is a very fun and relaxing way to make your own bracelets and there is much history behind the origin of this art, even said to be worn and garnished by the Samurai. The activity itself will focus on the use of a loom to weave colorful embroidery thread.
