Stop by the library to view two exhibits exploring ideas of home, immigrant stories and the relationships we all have.

Your Neighbor's Story: Lives of New Americans

http://www.mashahamilton.com/the_storytelling_projects.php

"At the intersection of art and activism, Your Neighbor’s Story sees community as the wellspring of change. It braids visual art created by artists with powerful narratives of men and women often forced to choose between remaining in the homes they know and love, or saving their families."

What is Home?

Created by local artist Lindsay Bolin Lowry, two large panels will face outward from the library windows inviting visitors to ask what does home mean to me?  What does home mean to the people I'm looking at?

A third interactive window will invite the community to fill out a postcard in person or online to tell us what home means to you.  Responses will fill the windows as we all learn that home is a unique experience.

Join us on September 25th at the QAC Arts Council for an in person artist talk with various artists from both projects.  You can register through the library's events page.
